Happy Fall! What a wonderful time of year the autumnal equinox brings us. I am looking forward to the beauty of the changing foliage and the great sleeping weather. What it also means is the lazy days of summer are gone and it is time for me to start writing Wellness Tips and newsletters. So here goes.

SEASON CHANGE AND SO DO WE
|
The earth moves from season to season demonstrating the inherent rhythms of nature. Nature is constantly moving and changing, creating and destroying. Nature and therefore life is dynamic. We are a part of nature so we also have season and innate rhythms.
Did you know that we are designed to adapt, grow and flourish in the face of an ever changing environment? I know that it doesn't feel like it at times but we can handle whatever we attract into our life. We just need the right kind of support to turn it into a springboard to create our life's dreams. Here are a few universal principles that will help.
Principle #1 - Master Controller with owners manual.
We come equipt with a master control system made up of a brain, a spinal cord and peripheral nerves. This nerve system controls and coordinates all the functions of our being, mind and body. Take care of the nerve system like it is a priceless treasure (it actually is) and you will be ready to take on the world.
So how do I take care of this priceless treasure? Well I am glad you asked, it is in the "owners manual". There are five things you need to know about.
- Proper Nutrition
- Proper Exercise
- Proper Rest
- Positive Mental Attitude
- Proper Chiropractic Care
A detailed explanation of the "Owners Manual" is presented twice a month during my Wellness Workshop. I recommend that you attend at least once. You are also welcome to attend as many times as you may need to make these lifestyle changes. There is no charge for the workshop and guest are welcome.
Principle #2 - "If you ain't green and growing you are ripe and rotting."
To put this another way - Education of the mind, Education of the body and Education of the spirit. One of the most costly health mistakes you can make is to stop learning. When you regularly challenge yourself to learn new things, explore different concepts, try new activities and have new experiences in all aspects of your life you will continue to grow in mind, body and spirit. This will have profound health benefits. When you continue to learn and grow throughout your life you find that change is much easier to embrace.
Principle #3 - "Change Happens"
I believe it is a old Native American saying that states it the best. " No man (or woman) can set foot in the same river twice". As life rushes by, just like the water of a river, we can not step into life the same way because we are different. Our brains have processed new information which effects every subsequent interaction. When you get right down to it we even have new cells from one moment to the next and different molecules constantly circulating in and out of our bodies.
When we understand that life equals change, we then begin to take control of our life. Yes, change is inevitable and it is our responsibility to make change meaningful in our life and therefore making meaningful change in the world.
